Northwestern University Summer Intensive Vocal Career Seminar
July 27th, 2018
During this week-long seminar, participants meet for the first time Monday morning and must come together to perform a fully staged production by Friday evening, in addition to attending master classes, audition classes, headshot sittings, lectures, and recitals.
This year, we put on a slightly altered production of Mozart’s The Impresario during the first act, in which I played The Secretary, which was a supporting comedic role the director added into the script. The second act was performed as an opera gala being put on by the characters of The Impresario, during which my character, The Secretary, was lucky enough to portray Violetta from Verdi’s La Traviata.
